Well, it’s that time of year again! We are gearing up for what will be another exciting Classic Boat Festival! The Festival will be taking place September 2-4 over Labour Day weekend right in Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour. For more details on the event, please see the event website:
As part of the opening reception, the Maritime Museum of BC will be hosting our annual Silent Auction for the participants of the festival. This has been a major fundraiser for the Museum; all funds raised this year will be put towards a Student Engagement Fund that will help us hire students, which will provide them with valuable work experience while they complete their studies.
We are seeking donations for the auction such as gift certificates for services, books, tickets for concerts, theatre or sports events, and other interesting items. All donations are welcome and will help us develop our Student Engagement Fund, which will further our positive impact on the community by providing us with more support to continue our research and outreach programs for the local community and the province of BC.
All donors’ names will be listed in the auction catalogue and displayed on the premises during the reception. Donor names and logos (if provided) will also be displayed on the Classic Boat Festival’s social media and web site.
