Looking for wedding venues in Victoria, BC? The Maritime Museum of BC has the right location for your special event. With heritage character and an intimate atmosphere, we will ensure that your special day is especially memorable.
Wedding Ceremonies
As the original Provincial Courtroom, the Victorian Courtroom is a unique setting for the wedding ceremony. Guests can sit in the jury benches and live musicians can make use of the prisoner’s box. Guests can ride up to the third floor in our elegant 19th century birdcage elevator. The adjoining Boardroom often works well as a bridal room or can be used as a refreshment area. The Courtroom can comfortably seat up to 80 people.
For smaller intimate weddings, it is possible to have both the ceremony and reception in the Courtroom.
Wedding Receptions
The majority of our receptions take place in our Mezzanine on the first level. This area is composed of two adjoining rooms, one of which is often used as a dance floor. We can accommodate both formal sit down dinners as well as buffet style receptions. Capacity will vary with these choices.
If more space is needed for larger receptions, the First Floor Gallery or the entire Museum are both available to rent.
