DESCRIPTION:See the Naden Band of the Royal Canadian Navy perform on the Touchdown Festival main stage in the Ship Point parking lot! \n\n\n\nThe Naden Band of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN)\, in operation since 1940\, is comprised of thirty five professional full-time musicians whose primary role within the Royal Canadian Navy is to support Naval Operations\, ceremonial events\, and public outreach initiatives. Currently under the direction of Lieutenant (Navy) Ben Van Slyke\, the Band performs in a variety of ensembles ranging from parade band and concert band to big band\, brass and woodwind quintets\, and rock and contemporary ensembles.

DESCRIPTION:One of several exciting Boater events for the Classic Boat Festival.  \n\n\n\nThe Welcome Reception – a Victoriana Gin & Tea Sandwich Party – will be held at the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling and Croquet Club on Friday\, 30 August from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Wear whites\, enjoy a game on the lawn\, and get to know your fellow boaters. Light snacks and beverages will be served\, with a cash/debit/credit bar.  \n\n\n\nAll Boater Registrations include two complimentary tickets to the Welcome Reception\, but additional tickets can be purchased at the registration link for $25 each. This event is only open to Registered Boaters and their guests. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis event is proudly sponsored by the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling and Croquet Club and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirit.
