Tea & Talks: Floating Food Forests – Is kelp the new kale?
August 29 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Join us every other Thursday afternoon for Tea and Talks!
Museum volunteers, archival staff, and educators present unique artefacts from our collection, surrounded by discussions of maritime history and other seaworthy topics – all over a cup of tea and refreshments!
This program FREE with museum admission or membership!
At a time when our terrestrial food systems are being stretched to their limit, enterprising farmers are looking to the seas for a solution. With over 10,000 edible sea plants in the ocean, these regenerative farms of the future are a novel – and delicious – way to help our food systems, economy, and climate.
And don’t miss the rest of our Tea & Talk series, every other Thursday at 2:30!
