The Maritime Museum of BC is a registered non-profit organization. Most of our funding comes from donations, fundraising, and community support. Monetary donations make a day-to-day impact on our ability to fulfill our mission: to engage communities in witnessing and preserving maritime heritages.

A monetary donation to the Maritime Museum of BC benefits your entire community. Donate online, in-person, or by mail. Donations above $25 qualify for a tax receipt.
We accept e-transfers! Use info@mmbc.bc.ca as the email and be sure to include “Donation” in the memo section.

Endowments at the Victoria Foundation
Endowments invest your gift in perpetuity, providing sustainable funding each year as an annual grant. The impact of your individual gift is strengthened by the many gifts of others, and will support the Maritime Museum of BC Society into the future.
We also have a separate endowment fund to provide sustainable funding for SV Dorothy‘s maintenance, restoration, and repairs. This will keep her sailing on the Salish Sea!
Charitable Will Bequest
A charitable will bequest is a direction in your will that instructs the Executor of your estate to leave your selected assets to a charitable organization. It is sometimes also called planned giving. There are many forms for this type of bequest to take.
