By becoming an MMBC member, you not only enrich your own experience but also play a vital role in sustaining BC’s maritime heritage. Purchasing an annual membership provides crucial financial support, enabling us to preserve our collection, conduct community workshops and outreach initiatives, offer enriching school programs, and create dynamic rotating exhibits.

Furthermore, your membership supports our goal of moving into a larger, more permanent home. This transition will allow us to showcase more of our vast collection, and provide you with an expansive journey through the maritime history of British Columbia.

Pricing

Your membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Prices include GST unless otherwise stated.

Due to CRA regulations, memberships are not eligible for tax receipts. You will receive your membership package via mail within 1-2 weeks.

FAQs

Memberships can be purchased online or in person at the Museum.

Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

You can renew online, by phone, or in person. Renewal reminders with a link to renew are sent by email before your membership expires.

No, only members who opt in to automatic renewal will be automatically renewed.

Yes! Memberships make great gifts and can be purchased for someone else at any time online here, or in person.

Yes, please show your physical or digital membership card at the front desk when you visit. Forgot it? No worries! Our team can look you up in our system.

No worries! You can always use your digital membership card or contact us to get a replacement mailed to you.

Yes! Digital membership cards are included with all memberships.

1. Receive your digital card
After purchasing or renewing your membership online, you’ll get an email confirmation with a link to your digital membership card.

2. Open the email on your device
For Apple Wallet, use an iPhone or iPad.
For Google Wallet, use an Android phone.

3. Add to your wallet

  • Apple Wallet: Tap the “Add to Apple Wallet” button in the email. Follow the prompts to save your card.

  • Google Wallet: Tap the “Add to Google Wallet” button in the email. Follow the prompts to save your card.

4. Access your card anytime
Open your Wallet app to show your membership card at the Museum or for events.

If you didn’t receive your digital card or have trouble adding it to your wallet, contact our Communications & Membership Coordinator, Tina, at tedwards@mmbc.bc.ca and she’ll assist you.

Memberships directly support exhibitions, educational programs, collections care, and community programming.

Our team processes membership as quickly as possible. Most mailed membership packages arrive within 1-2 weeks.

Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
