The Annual General Meeting of The Maritime Museum of British Columbia Society (MMBC) is scheduled to be held on 24 October 2024 at 7:00 PM at the MMBC at 744 Douglas St. The AGM will be a hybrid format with the option of attending in person or joining by Microsoft Teams. We will follow up with more details in September. You will receive a formal notice with the agenda in September.
Electing New Board Members through the Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is responsible for selecting a list of persons who have agreed to let their names stand for election as elected Directors of the Society at the next Annual General Meeting and whose nomination is supported by the Nominating Committee.
Any member interested in serving as a Director of the Society should submit their name in writing to the attention of the Nominating Committee, by email to the names listed below, on or before 6 August 2024 by noon.
With a core value of embracing diversity, equity and accessibility, we strive for a Board representative of our diverse maritime and larger community.
Selected candidates will later be required to provide written consent to stand for election at the next Annual General Meeting as an elected Director and whose nomination has been proposed in writing by three members in good standing at least 10 days prior to the Annual General Meeting on 24 October 2024.

Individuals interested in letting their names stand for election may also drop off their information, in a sealed envelope, to the Maritime Museum of British Columbia at 744 Douglas St to the attention of the Nominating Committee on or before 6 August 2024.
The Nominating Committee will meet with members interested in serving on the Board of Directors prior to the next scheduled Board meeting.
