Over three weeks of the Sea Song Showdown fundraiser, you raised $5,775 to support programs at the Maritime Museum of BC!

After three rounds of match-ups, we can also declare a Champion Song: “Jack Was Ev’ry Inch a Sailor”, sung by the Thermopylae Club. The Thermopylae Club is a special interest group that meets monthly to discuss maritime topics.

You supported programs like our Salty Sundays for all ages, school programs and Museum Tots, and more year-round by donating, sharing, and singing along!

Thank you to matching donors Harry & Julie Swain for supporting the second week of donations and thank you to everyone who donated, shared our fundraiser, or sung along to a sea shanty! With your gift and support, you facilitate year-round programs that reach 15,000 community members annually.

Thank you to our Song Ambassadors, who helped us spread the word about this fundraiser: Black Ball Ferry Line, Race to Alaska, and the Thermopylae Club.

Thank you for helping your communities experience maritime arts, heritage, science, and skills through programs at the Maritime Museum of BC.

We so appreciate our donors’ and communities’ ongoing support for the Maritime Museum of BC; you make a difference every day.

We accept donations year-round, so if you missed out on being a part of this campaign–not to worry! You can contribute any time online through the link below.
